Our Story
Poland is a country proudly steeped in many traditions—food, dancing, and handicrafts. Poles love social gatherings, whether to share a multi-course meal or tea-time with an assortment of pastries and cakes, and they can sit for hours conversing amidst a lovely linen-laid table.
Textiles have played an important part in Polish history. In addition to producing textiles for everyday living, decorative textiles were made as wall, window, and door hangings, as bed coverings, and even for covering the backs of horses. Colorful textiles were produced for everyday clothing, as well as for folk costumes. Textiles provided social value, too, as people in the countryside wove together, creating regional patterns and designs.

Alice Benson
My family is from Poland and I have been a collector of artisan products from Poland for many years. I especially love linen, which has been produced in Poland for many centuries and is often passed down through the family. There remains a strong national tradition of textile production and artisan work in Poland, and I am always excited to discover unique linen products with provenance and panache.
Recently, I have discovered some small, family-owned businesses that are producing lovely linen products. With captivating colors, patterns, and designs, these linens are created using time-honored techniques, are produced in limited quantities, and have very limited distribution outside of Poland. I am proud to make these distinctive products available to discerning customers in the U.S.
My passion is Poland and discovering artisan linen products from Poland to share with you!
